Coinbase Announces Staking Token for Wrapped Ether Ahead of the Ethereum Merge

Coinbase announced that it will launch its own liquid staking service and token, called cbETH, ahead of Ethereum’s Merge. The exchange said it aims to diversify the liquid staking market, which is currently dominated by one protocol.
